Bretton Arms Inn - $179.00 per night plus tax

Built as a private home in 1896, The Bretton Arms was first opened to guests in 1907. For many years, the Inn served as a gracious complement to the larger Mount Washington and Mount Pleasant (1876-1939) hotels.

Host to a variety of visitors from snowshoeing parties to chauffeurs, the Bretton Arms also served as the distinguished headquarters for the Conference Secretariat during the 44-nation Bretton Woods Monetary Conference in 1944. The Bretton Arms became staff housing for The Mount Washington Hotel, and was closed in 1973.

A growing demand for a gracious country inn led to the restoration and reopening of the Bretton Arms in 1986, when it was given its National Historic Landmark designation.

Lauded as one of the resort's most popular restaurants, the AAA Four Diamond Bretton Arms Dining Room serves breakfast and dinner seasonally.

The dinner menu at the Arms uses the freshest and finest locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. The creatively prepared traditional cuisine is complemented by cutting-edge techniques, allowing the quality of the ingredients to come out. Choose from the award-winning wine list, including more than 40 selections available by the glass.

If your group is a bit larger, two newly-renovated private dining rooms are available, with seating for up to 10 guests.

The dress code for the Arms is resort casual. And, for the little ones, the young guests' menu is not your typical mac-and-cheese or PB&J, but instead a reflection of the adult menu and experience.
